Yeah, unfortunately I’m just a self-taught 18 year old, so I haven’t gotten around to learning WordPress yet. It does look interesting though- probably should be near the top of my priorities.
There’s a major problem with accessibility when disabling styles, I think it’s something to do with the navigation. I personally would abandon that and make that area separate categories, so one could have multiple galleries maybe! Make this more of a gallery and forget about the rest of the site as users can integrate it into their own design.
Does the gallery section downgrade to pure html/xhtml for users who have javascript disabled on their browser?
It wold be nice for the end user to have the option of changing the background from black, grey or white!
Saying that though I think this is an incredible bit of work considering your age and you are going to go a long way as a designer/developer. And it’s nice to see something other than lightbox effects.
I hope this will help you with future releases, a bit of feedback and suggestions.

as well, in IE7 , the active links do not display as they do in FF, i.e. the little triangle figures do not show in IE7 on hover. I was going to comment that there was no indication of the active link but I guess that is not strictly true.

Hi. I just bought two of your HTML templates and nice work.
I am using a 19” monitor and noticed the following 2 image related “discrepancies” on the WebLider template with orange style.
This is a line all the way down the right side. I opened up in PS and there is a line down the right of the site_bg_big_orange.jpg
The second is where the site_bg_big_orange.jpg doesnt quite merge with the body bg image.
Anyway, just thought I would point that out. Thanks.

I contacted you via your profile here on ThemeForest about a week ago, saying I loved your Spotlight Portfolio template but was unsure about which version to buy (since I got no reply about a WordPress update, I chose the HTML version and am really having fun customizing it – the files are indeed very well coded).
Here is my question: I would need to use a few Italian titles on my website, and though I have tried following your instruction about the conversion of the Museo font, I got lost in the many options of the on-line converter you have suggested to use (as well as in the actual size of Museo I should download). I was wondering if you could please help me with this, e.g. by sending me the correct latin characters that I need (ГЁ Г© Г ГІ and the like)... your help would be more than appreciated.

I love your design. I am planning on buying it, but wanted to ask a few questions first.
1. How much control do I have over the CSS ? If I want to have more choice than just light/dark—can I change the background colour, H1 colour etc readily, or will the other files (ajax etc) impact? I only know XHTML and CSS so want to be sure.
2. Is there somewhere I can view how this equates in Wordpress or would it basically look exactly the same in WP vs just normal?

why cant i have more than 9 slides without having the drop menu from the header screwing up and showing behind the images from the slider.
Here try this double the quantity of slides in the home page of the template and add one more total of ten slides and see what happens with the menu when you have a dropdown or let me say submenu list, it will show up behind the images rotating in the slider.
what can be the fix of this issue and it seems to me that we are limited which i find not cool in a way..
please help

The rollover effect of the text under the main logo (on the blog page for example) doesn’t look right to me, it’s a bit twitchy for a smotth rollover.

Hi again! I have another question and I believe your answer may benefit more than just me.
Your documentation doesn’t make it clear as to why one should use the HTML site template versus the PHP template. Both appear identical content wise.
I have figured out the one benefit of using the PHP version in that the header.php and footer.php files have to be changed just once and all other pages will then match the selected skin, menu, etc. The HTML version requires you to manually change the header and footer of each and every page, which can be labor intensive. Having said that, the one major drawback of the PHP version I’m seeing is that the menu always has the “Home” section set as the current page/view. In other words, since the header calls out the “Home” section to be <li class="current_page_item" />, no other page is ever highlighted in the menu as the current page.
Is my rationale correct? Is there anything else you can say about the differences between the PHP and HTML versions? Are both SEO friendly?

this is a really nice theme, but it doesn’t install on WP 3 .0, which I find highly annoying. The help file doesn’t have any special instructions for how to install it. Using the default theme installation function in WP to install this theme:
Warning: fopen(.../wp-content/themes/castle-9-in-1-professional-blog-template-source/style.css) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in …/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4165
Castle doesn’t follow WP’s guidelines for theme structure, which menas that now I’m going to have to go through a lot of annoying nonsense to figure out what that theme structure is and hopefully get the thing installed.
Do you have any instructions for how to get your theme installed properly? You should include them in a how-to.html file with the theme—or better yet, make the theme auto-install properly.
groan. i searched for “castle” and this was the first result. I bought the wrong one, really sucktar.
here’s the usability analysis: “Castle – 9 in 1 Professional Blog Template” didn’t say “NOT a WordPress template” so when I saw this as the first search result, I didn’t think to look at the other results. The page titles for both themes get cut off as “Castle – 9 in 1 Professional …”; the differentiating factor (i.e. one is WordPress and the other is DIY ) is not apparent anywhere but in the fine print.
Anyway, small usability fix to mod the theme titles s.t. the differentiating feature is up front… just a suggestion.
