I love this theme, but I am currently experienceing a little difficulty in setting the home page.
I would like to make my home page look like the demo. But I can’t get my posts to look the same. The demo shows an image on the left, with an excerpt on the right (business ideas) and (business planning).
Mine just lists the posts down the page.
I have followed the instructions as best I can. But, I’m a little stuck.
All the posts that are shown are posts from one category. To set the category whose posts will be shown you have to create a custom field (#custom) in your page called postCategory and for value insert the ID of the category.
Where do I create this custom field? I’m confused.
Any advice would be appreciated. My site is: www. Australian Visa Advice . com

I’m having a problem with the sidebar for this theme:
- I’m trying to show a sidebar that shows the open career positions and news (blog posts) consistently throughout the website.
- I also don’t want these posts appearing on the homepage, or any page they don’t belong; just the sidebar.
here’s the test site for reference:
Every bloody time I use the postcategory ID for the News posts, the post will show on the homepage! I just want them on my sidebar. Also, you see that the sidebar isn’t consistent throughout the site either (some show the news, others show the careers).
What on earth is going on here????
I purchased this theme over a year ago; does it require updates?
Help would be highly appreciated.

Hi there Just purchased this, having a few issues:
1) Can not get the slider to show anything. I created a category called Home and added the post Our boat to the home category, told the headline category to display home and nothing shows up!
2) If I choose to show ALL Categories for the Featured 1, 2, 3 etc, and show 4 posts, blog posts show up on the left on the home page. If I choose a particular category for Featured Category 1, etc, then only the category name shows up, not the blog posts underneath – you can see that now.
3) I have corrected the “Looking Something” which is incorrect English and changed it to “search” on most pages but in which page in editor do I do that for blog posts?
4) If we use an image for the logo, what are the size requirements?
5) When writing a page, carriage returns are ignored unless I place
in the html..is there a way to get paragraph breaks on pages? Sometimes this seems to be happening on posts also after ordered lists…
6) On the home page, can I control that sidebar on the right? I don’t want so much stuff there.
7) Finally, when a post is small but the image is tall, is there a way to get the background to stretch around the photo? It looks terrible – the see the my dog post

I don’t know if I was clear on what I am trying to do. I would like to create a single (one), full-width column for my content that is below the picture gallery on the homepage. There are currently three columns.
See the content section on my homepage: I would like it to look exactly like this (with the “Acclarus Venture Labs”; “Tagline to come…” and short line below this). However, I would like the content (“Ac risus aliquam, enim dapibus et hac…”) to stretch across the page instead of being in one column of the left side.

Hello,
I purchased your template and must say it looks great.
I’m having some problems though.
Firstly, the category links (in the sidebar widget) don’t work. (Don’t know if this is a problem with WordPress rather than the theme).
Secondly, when I click on a post on the front page it doesn’t take me to a single view of that post, instead it takes me to a category view of all the items in that category, once again this might be a problem with WordPress rather then the theme.
I have coding knowledge so if fix requires coding that’s fine.
